Scaravelli inspired yoga is suitable for most people, from beginners to those more experienced who wish to take a slower approach to yoga.
It can help to develop an awareness of how ones body moves in relation to gravity and the breath, in a relaxed, explorative and calming way. Postures are adapted to the need of the individual and can help with the symptoms of back pain, joint pain and stiffness and can help with injury as part of a physical rehab programme.
Classes are small, friendly, inclusive and relaxing and take place in the studios above the Clerkenwell clinic.

Integrated Myofascial Release Therapist, with a background in Sports & Remedial Massage. Reiki Master/Teacher. Scaravelli Yoga Teacher

Tim is an Integrated Myofascial Therapist with a background in Sports & Remedial Massage, a Reiki Master and a Yoga Teacher. He enjoys using his range of skills to provide tailored treatments to help relieve the symptoms of pain that people can experience, including persistent pain (formerly referred to as chronic pain). He often works with people suffering with symptoms of stress (muscular tension, headaches, etc) and aims to help them find relief and ways of coping. He has a particular interest in those symptoms of discomfort that originate from the jaw (TMJ) and neck, as he has suffered headaches originating in this area. However, whilst treating the area of concern he looks at how tension elsewhere in the body can be an influence, working in those places to help promote a greater sense of wellbeing.

Tim works with a wide range of people including athletes, office workers, musicians and performers. He loves helping people find an ease within their body, helping with their symptoms of discomfort and promoting a sense of wellbeing and confidence in movements, whether this is a short term issue or something that has been more persistent. He believes that the body is looking to get better, but he will be there to help it on its journey.

After working in an office and personally experiencing the benefits of regular remedial and structural massage treatments he trained as a Sports & Remedial Soft Tissue therapist obtaining an Advanced Diploma in Sports & Remedial Massage through the London School of Sports Massage (LSSM) in 2010.

Since 2012 he has trained in Myofascial Release (MFR) with Myofascial Release UK (MFR UK, now In-Touch Education). In 2015 he completed their Advanced Clinical Diploma (one of the first to do so) and has been assisting on their courses, finally starting teaching MFR UK courses in 2023. In 2017, and again in 2019, Tim went to the USA to train with John F Barnes, who is said to be the originator of the Sustained Style of MFR.

Tim wants to offer a broad range of support in the sessions he offers and has completed training in TMJ Therapy, ScarWork, Pregnancy Massage, and Functional Breathing (with Oxygen Advantage). He continues to expand his knowledge of how humans work and is finding current Pain Science, Polyvagal Theory and deeper understanding of anatomy and movement as areas of interest. A session will be tailored to suit the needs and wishes of the patient to meet their expectations and goals. Tim will draw upon his experience and range of techniques to help people to achieve that through working together.

After personally experiencing the benefits of Reiki to ease the symptoms of pain and promoting a sense of wellbeing when recovering from a sprained ankle, he was attuned in Reiki in 2005, and became a Reiki Master/Teacher in 2012.

Introduced to yoga when he was 8, Tim finally trained as a Yoga Teacher in 2019. He trained in the Scaravelli style of yoga which brings an awareness of the movement of the spine and breath, and uses the various poses of yoga to help people learn more about their body rather than as a form of cardio exercise.

Over the years yoga has provided a framework for Tim to move well and to help find calm. He loves to share his knowledge about what movements may be beneficial for his clients to maintain their own sense of wellbeing between sessions; which may also involve simple and practical self care exercises and Self Myofascial Release approaches.

He is a member of the Institute of Sports & Remedial Massage (ISRM) and is registered with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) for massage. He is also a member of the Reiki Federation and British Wheel of Yoga (BWY)

Elisha is an Integrated Myofascial Therapist, Massage Therapist and Reflexologist. She loves helping people find relief from their aches and pains, both short term persistent pain, and enjoys getting them back to doing what they like quickly and for the long term. She enjoys helping people with their body’s journey to increased well being.

Elisha treats a variety of clients from sports people and musicians through to office professionals, who spend hours sitting in front of a computer for a living, as well as post-surgery and pregnant women. She really loves this work, developing a relationship with an expectant mother and helping them through the whole pregnancy. Elisha has clients who are on their second and third pregnancies with her as their therapist. They have treatments right through the pregnancy and continue after the baby is born.

She trained at the London College of Massage in 2004, the London School of Reflexology in 2007 and gained an advanced Clinical Diploma with Myofascial Release UK in 2017. She is constantly learning new therapies and techniques and attends numerous workshops and courses to update skills and techniques.

From an early age Elisha became interested in Massage and Body work as she benefitted from receiving them. As a child she suffered from back pain, and 12 years old she began having Chiropractic and Osteopathic treatments. Shortly after, she discovered massage and found this a great therapy for her muscle pain and general well-being.

Before becoming a Massage Therapist Elisha worked in an office and found that regular massage really helped relieve the stiffness and neck and back pain from being sat behind a computer for hours on end every day. This personal knowledge got her interested in massage therapy as a profession, and so she decided to study to become a Massage Therapist.

Elisha then learned Pregnancy Massage in 2005. Elisha became interested in Reflexology, which is a non-intrusive therapy based on the theory that different points on the feet correspond with different areas and organs of the body. She finds this fascinating and loves how powerful a reflexology session can be.

She came across Myofascial release, a therapy that provides an opportunity for the client to function better with increased movement efficiency and loved it. She then studied this to add to her skill set and gained an advanced Clinical Diploma with Myofascial Release UK.

Elisha tailors every massage to her client’s specific, individual needs. She will ask them what their problem areas are and what their end goal is from the treatment. Depending on what is needed, she will either work on specific problems or holistically for general health and wellbeing. She finds it so rewarding when she can help people in these areas and looks forward to helping many more.

Growing up in Rome among a family of medics, Francesca developed an early interest in health-care, piqued further by a visit she made aged 18 to the USA: “I spent a summer at camp at a Chiropractic College and by the time I returned home I knew what I wanted to be,” she said. She went on to train in Italy and the UK and graduated from The Anglo European Chiropractic College, Bournemouth with a Masters Degree in Chiropractic in 2001.

Following her first professional role, in Manchester, Francesca returned to Rome for a period where she established her own clinic and nurtured an interest in TMD (Temporomandibular Joint Disorder), working closely with Dentists – including her own father – to achieve Chiropractic solutions to the condition.

Keen to broaden her skills and learn new techniques she then came to London – and Harley Street – but continued to commute and work regularly between the UK and Italy for 4 years.

It is as a Director of Islington and Clerkenwell Chiropractic Clinic, her professional home since 2007, that Francesca has been able to finally fulfill her joint ambitions: to personally provide first-class Chiropractic care to meet a range of health needs, and drive a multi-disciplinary clinic that delivers expert patient care and promotes sustained well-being.

Francesca’s vision is a clear one: “In time I’d like to see the Clinic grow further,” she says, “and to bring on board other like-minded practitioners who can expand our resources and community.”

Meanwhile Francesca herself treats a number of spinal and health problems and is skilled in a range of Chiropractic techniques. She has a particular interest in treating pregnant women and babies as well as TMJ disorders and dental issues: “What’s great about Chiropractic,” she says, “is that pretty much anyone can benefit; it can treat entire families, young and old.

“It’s also extremely effective both in terms of achieving results – which it can do fairly quickly – and as an ongoing approach to supporting well-being and long-term health maintenance.”
